The Sweet Home Conservation and Historical Society (SHCHS) is a non-profit organization formed to recount and preserve the history of Black Texans and specifically, Seguin, Guadalupe County, Texas. Our purpose is to provide a means to draw knowledge and perspective from the past, realize a sense of identity, and find direction toward the future.
The SHCHS is committed to providing ancestry services to support the research and documentation of our remarkable and diverse history and preservation for future generations.
